Be part of the growing team at the Velocity Lounge & Driving Range! The Line Cook is responsible for preparation of high-quality food in a timely, sanitary and consistent manner. The incumbent must be prepared to work as a team member in a fast-paced, high-pressure work environment.
- Daily food preparation following par and prep list.
- Sets up station according to restaurant guidelines
- Putting away and organizing incoming supplier food and beverage orders
- Follows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications
- Prepare sauces and garnishes for the assigned station
- Communication with coworkers and front of house regarding features and stock shortages
- Prepares all food items in a sanitary and timely manner
- Restocks all items as needed throughout shift
- Cleans and maintains station during and after use
- Ensure timely preparation of all meals
- Serve food in the proper portion size and temperature
- Perform other related duties as required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a fast-paced kitchen
- Eager to learn basic kitchen skills
- Current Food Safe certification
- Previous line cooking experience considered an asset
- Basic knife skills and safety
- Must be able to stand for long periods at a time
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
- Early morning, day, evening, and night shifts may be required
