The Campbell River Golf & Country Club has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Golf Professional to join our team! The Assistant Golf Professional is responsible for providing superior pass-holder and guest service while assisting the Head Golf Professional and Associate Golf Professional with all activities relating to the management and execution of the Campbell River Golf & Country Club’s operations. This includes assisting with looking after the practice facilities, instructional programs, event coordination, and fitting and maintain golf equipment.

 

The Assistant Golf Professional will also assist the Retail Manager as needed with orders and supporting merchandise sales.

Your contributions to the team include:

  • Assist the Head Golf Professional to coordinate and develop teaching programs, clinics, camps, and golf schools for students of all ages and skill levels
  • Consistently provide an outstanding level of member and guest service levels
  • Act as a leader in the golf operations and a resource to the Head Golf Professional
  • Help to ensure the practice facilities and their surroundings are always up to standard and ready for pass holder and guest usage
  • Cross-sell products available from the Golf Shop that could help guests improve the quality of their game
  • Provide guests with basic golf club repairs
  • Support with all club tournaments and corporate events
  • Communication and coordinate with other departments of the resort as needed including: Golf Shop, maintenance, restaurant, and management
  • Health & Safety conscious and actively involved in maintaining a safe work environment
  • Responsible for being the second person to assume the Head Golf Professional’s duties in the Associate Golf Professional’s and the Head Golf Professional’s absence
  • Performs other appropriate tasks assigned by the Head Golf Professional or Retail Manager

 

What you need to be successful:

  • Previous experience in an Assistant Golf Professional role
  • High level of knowledge and expertise pertaining to the game of golf and equipment
  • Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills
  • Exhibit sales skills
  • Experience with Tee-On/POS software is an asset
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Understanding of turf care and facility maintenance
